Royal Marsden Hospitals
Mechanical services noise assessments for development by the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust.
Frequent work for the Royal Marsden Hospitals in Chelsea and Sutton. This includes a noise assessment for the installation of an air handling unit (AHU), noise assessments and noise mitigation commissioning work for a temporary PET-CT trailer, measurements of mechanical services causing complaints from hospital staff and general assessments ranging from small condensing units to large installations as part of ward developments. The work includes the conduction of survey’s to quantify background noise levels at the nearest noise sensitive receptors to installations, setting of noise emission criteria in line with local authority requirements and calculation of noise emissions following guidance within the latest version of British Standard BS 4142. Necessary mitigation methods are communicated to the client and mechanical & electrical services consultants and assessments are summarised in reports suitable for submission to the local authority in support of a planning application.
