Vernon Cole

Vernon has worked in the field of acoustics since 1980, during which time he has amassed a wealth of experience and expertise in a number of specialist acoustic design and consultancy areas.  An engineer by training, Vernon has always applied technical rigour to his work, but never loses sight of the fact that advice and recommendations must be understandable to clients, other design team members and all other stakeholders. He has applied that expertise on projects across the world.

Vernon is an all rounder, working on both environmental and building projects. His particular fields of interest and expertise include environmental impacts arising from major transport projects, in particular airports and airspace change, presentation/performing arts facilities and expert witness work. He has represented a number of Clients at Public Inquiries and Parliamentary Select Committee Hearings.

While he will take a direct role in particular projects, Vernon’s primary role in Suono is the provision of high level consulting input and mentoring staff.

Vernon provides a lead in the following areas
